The challenge
Launching a regulated credit card product in the US from scratch — with no local team, a distributed network of 10–20 partners across time zones, and strict federal compliance requirements around KYC, AML, and card network rules. Missing any regulatory gate meant the entire launch stalls.
Role & scope
Program Manager with end-to-end ownership across planning, cross-partner communication, vendor management, product delivery, and compliance coordination. Single point of accountability between a remote international team and a US-based partner ecosystem.
What was done
→Built and maintained the full programme plan across 10–20 vendors, integrations, and regulatory workstreams simultaneously
→Managed partner implementations end-to-end — from due diligence and contracting through onboarding and go-live
→Established KYC and AML frameworks in coordination with legal, compliance teams, and external auditors to meet US regulatory requirements
→Led service review cycles and end-to-end product testing prior to customer launch
→Acted as primary escalation point for regulatory and compliance blockers, unblocking dependencies and protecting the programme timeline
Outcome
Full credit card product launched to end customers within 2 years of initial concept — from zero infrastructure to thousands of customers onboarded. Delivered on schedule despite a fully remote, multi-partner, cross-border programme operating under US financial regulation.
